Job Description:
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Weill Cornell
Medicine, a nationally recognized academic medical center, is
seeking a full-time fellowship trained minimally invasive
gynecologic surgeon. The position will hold a rank of Assistant
Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. Candidates in this
role will possess excellent clinical, surgical, and teaching skills
as well as a strong interest in research. Job responsibilities: -
Surgical and non-surgical consultations for complex gynecologic
disorders, such as endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic pain, often
for medically and surgically complicated patients. - Basic to
advanced surgical procedures in both outpatient and inpatient
surgical units. Participation in the shared gynecology and L&D
catastrophe call pools. - Assist in providing clinical, didactic,
and simulation training for the residents and medical students. -
Participate as a core faculty member in the mentorship and teaching
of fellows. - Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the
department and participate in departmental research projects. -
Function as a role model for the clinical staff through the
demonstration of current medical knowledge, sound clinical
judgment, technical skills, and humanistic qualities. - Member of
the Labor and Delivery back up team. - Other related duties may be
assigned from time to time by the Department Chair or Division
Director. The provider will work collaboratively with a
multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, urogynecologists,
maternal fetal medicine providers, gynecologic oncologists, and
mental health providers. Salary is commensurate with qualifications

and locally competitive compensation package. Base Salary Range:
$300,000-$350,000 *Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary
range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary
Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for
full-time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive
compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of
factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty,
training, and hospital/community needs. Qualifications: Qualified
candidates must have a medical degree, successfully completed a
4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program
and be board eligible or board certified in obstetrics and
gynecology. Additionally, they must have completed an AAGL
accredited fellowship in Complex Benign Gynecology/Minimally
Invasive Gynecologic Surgery with a preference for those with
strong robotic surgical experience. The candidates must have or be
able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License and DEA
