Job Description:
We are actively recruiting a junior professional for a
Production Data Analyst role with our client, a global packaging
manufacturer. As a data analyst focusing on continuous improvement,
as it applies to manufacturing, you will be an essential part of
the team, working hands-on to drive operational excellence through
statistical analysis and process improvements. This role requires a
proactive and detail-oriented individual eager to immerse
themselves in the manufacturing environment and collaborate with
cross-functional teams. This role will also work to identify
opportunities for enhancement while collecting, refining,
analyzing, and modeling data in order to produce valuable insights
that inform decision making and increase efficiencies across the
enterprise.This is a full-time, direct-hire position.. Applicants
must be legally authorized for full-time employment in the US
without employer provisions or visa considerations. Thus,
applicants seeking contract or contract to hire employment, or
those requiring visa sponsorship or visa transfer, can not be
considered for this role.
The Responsibilities:Data Collection and ValidationCollect, clean,
and validate manufacturing data (e.g., OEE, scrap, etc.) from
various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.Collaborate with
frontline staff to ensure data integrity and gather insights from
the shop floor.Statistical AnalysisApply statistical methods (e.g.,
Regression, ANOVA, DOE, etc.) to analyze manufacturing data,
including production metrics, quality control data, and equipment
performanceGenerate actionable insights to support decision-making
and continuous improvement initiatives.Continuous Improvement
InitiativesParticipate in continuous improvement projects,
employing statistical tools and methodologies to identify areas for
optimization.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement
data-driven solutions and monitor their impact.Hands-On
EngagementSpend time on the manufacturing floor to gain a practical
understanding of processes, challenges, and opportunities for
improvement.Work closely with production teams, demonstrating a
willingness to get involved and understand the intricacies of
manufacturing operations.Reporting and DocumentationDevelop clear
and concise reports and visualizations to communicate key
performance indicators and improvement progress.Document
methodologies, findings, and recommendations for future reference
and knowledge sharing.
The Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science,
Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business
Analytics, etc.) 2+ years' professional onsite experience in an
office or manufacturing setting.Familiarity with data analysis
tools such as
R, SQL, Python, advanced Excel skills.Familiarity with data
visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau.Strong foundation in
statistical analysis and a keen interest in applying statistical
methods to real-world manufacturing challenges.Professional
communication and personal skills to work collaboratively with
diverse teams.Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic,
high-speed manufacturing environment.End to end experience with ETL
process.Travel to corporate offices and manufacturing sites to
learn business processes and systems.Legal authorization for w-2
