Job Description Job Description Description: Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Essential Job Functions: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following. · Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems, processing equipment, packing equipment, washing equipment, labeling equipment, HDPE bottle production equipment and utilities. · Performs preventative and failure maintenance activities utilizing equipment diagrams, schematics, equipment/operations manuals. · Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. · Electrical – 120V, 240V 480V. Pull wiring, pipe bending, connections etc. PLC’s. · Instrumentation Calibration · Grease & Lubrication of equipment · Welding – MIG, TIG and Stick · Hydraulics, Pneumatics. · Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. · Set up and assist in operator startup for production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. · Follow all company GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all safety regulatory requirements. · Maintain regular and punctual attendance. · Work overtime as assigned. · Ability to work cooperatively with others. · Comply with all company policies and procedures. Requirements: Must Have Experience: Candidates must have experience in the dairy industry and with paper fillers, EQs, and N8. Minimum Required Qualifications: The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:· High school graduate or equivalent preferred.· 3 years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility; food industry preferred.· Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended hours. · Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.· Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.· Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
