Job Description:

Carnegie Post Acute Skilled Nursing Facility seeks a caring and competent Dietary Aide to assist in our dining services department. This role is pivotal in providing top-quality nutritional care and meal assistance to our residents, all within a supportive and state-of-the-art healthcare environment focused on post-hospital and post-surgical recovery. The ideal candidate will be proficient in maintaining dietary guidelines and ensuring patient satisfaction through exceptional service. Prepare dining areas before meals and clean them post-meals. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to residents according to prescribed diets. Communicate with healthcare staff about individual dietary needs and preferences. Check that food trays match diet prescriptions before service. Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas. Document food temperatures and consumption, reporting any discrepancies. Knowledge of basic food safety and handling procedures Ability to follow dietary orders and modify meals Strong communication skills Attention to detail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance ServSafe certification preferred or must be obtained after employment.
