Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Salary: DOE The Driver's primary
responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of a lowboy
truck to load/unload, secure equipment to trailer, and transport
equipment to and from various jobsites throughout Berks County.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid CDL Class A Driver's license with a
good driving record (License must be the State of residence) Clean
Driving Record Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
and background check Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform
pre-trip and post-trip making sure truck is in safe conditions
Maintains telephone contact with dispatch for instructions
Maintains truck logs as required by the State, Federal, and Company
policies and regulations Ability to load heavy pieces of machinery
into the trailer, crawl under the machines to secure binder chains
between machine & trailer. Make sure chains are tight & secure.
Maintains the cleanliness and service ability of assigned truck
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Stand and sit for prolonged amounts of
time Must be able to drive up to 11 hours a day Walk, bend, kneel,
and twist Talk and hear Lift and move up to 75 pounds EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED is preferred CERTIFICATIONS: Must
possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate (Health Card) EXPERIENCE:
2 years of Lowboy experience hauling equipment Experience with
permit loads >80,000 pounds plus BENEFITS: Construction Masters
