Job Description:
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a
Neurologist to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/South Brooklyn
Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus
featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which
provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and
state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness
Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive
care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to
keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000
outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with
371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The
hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY
Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of
Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare

Health is a Joint Commission and American Heart
Association/American Stroke Association designated Advanced Primary
Stroke Center. Opportunity Details: - Provide direct patient care,
including dedicated outpatient clinic sessions, inpatient and
emergency room consults, and supervision of resident clinics, with
a focus on stroke care. - Participate in the call schedule, as
assigned. - Provide clinical guidance and direction to other
members of the healthcare team as needed. - Mentor and educate
residents and medical students. Qualifications - Active,
Unrestricted NYS License - Board Eligible or Board Certified in
Neurology - Fellowship Training and board eligibility or
certification in Stroke or Neuromuscular Medicine preferred (not
required) - Active DEA license - Experience attending to an
under-served population preferred Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $267,000* (Board Eligible) $272,000* (Board
Certified) based on 40-hour work week. The annual total value of
the compensation package is $389,220 (Board Eligible) and $394,720
(Board Certified) which includes the baseline salary, 401(k)
contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set
forth below: - Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional
sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. - Projected
bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average),
contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. - 401(k)
Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): -
Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of
base earnings. No employee match is required. - After one year of
service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of
base earnings. No employee match is required. - Annual Continuing
Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. - Generous Annual Paid Time
Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days. - Medical,
Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee
contributions significantly below market rates. - Life Insurance
and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal
to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost
to you. - Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D
coverage is available for you and your family. - Loan Forgiveness:
Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state
or federal programs. - Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to
occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee. -
Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). -
Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses. - Visa
sponsorship will be considered for this position - This position is
eligible for the High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program
