the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Brooklyn, New York, 11203! Job
Title: Certified Nursing Attendant Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Long-Term Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day and Evening Shifts
Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year in Long-Term Care required
License: New York State Certification as a Nursing Attendant
Certifications: None required Must-Have: Strong work ethic and
professionalism Description: Provides direct patient care and
related support. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Provides routine personal care to patients in a timely, safe, and
effective manner. Care may include bathing, shaving, brushing
teeth, dressing patients, and attending to any and all of their
personal care needs. Prepares patients for meals, feeds and/or
assists with feeding as necessary. Empties bedpans and collects
urine and other specimens. Transfers patients to and from bed
and/or chair using one-person transfer, two-person transfer, and
the use of a lift device. Takes accurate vital signs, temperatures,
pulse, and respirations. Records all necessary information
according to policy and procedure. Performs range of motion
exercises using proper technique. Assists patients in walking and
in transporting patients by means of a wheelchair or stretcher.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Schedule Notes: Must be
adaptable to varying work environments. Ability to communicate
effectively with patients and co-workers is required. May be
required to handle reasonably heavy weights across distances. Must
be trained in and knowledgeable of all policies and procedures
pertaining to hazardous waste and hazardous materials. Physical
Requirements: Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood,
body fluids, and tissues. Ability to stand for long periods of time
at the patient bedside or procedural areas is necessary. Ability to
sit for long periods at a desk to perform job functions may be
