Representative Location: New York City (Manhattan-based, local
outreach across NYC & Tri-State) Employment Type: 1099 (with
potential transition to W-2 in the future) Compensation:
$80,000–$110,000 annually (starting salary around $80K; negotiable
based on experience) About Us We are a multi-state psychotherapy
practice providing outpatient mental health services to adults,
adolescents, couples, and families. While our primary footprint is
in New York City, we also serve clients virtually and across select
states, including New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. We are in
an active growth phase and preparing to launch an Intensive
Outpatient Program (IOP), expanding our clinical offerings and
community impact. Join Us We are seeking a highly motivated,
boots-on-the-ground Business Development Representative to support
growth across our outpatient psychotherapy practice and upcoming
IOP. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on in-person
relationship building, understands professional healthcare
environments, and is eager to help scale a growing clinical
organization. This is not a treatment-facility referral role and
not focused on trading clients with other programs. Instead, this
position is centered on building authentic, long-term relationships
with hospitals, physicians, clinics, and private practices
throughout New York City. Requirements Prior experience in business
development, healthcare outreach, or professional services sales
Strong comfort with in-person outreach and relationship building
Ability to engage physicians, hospital staff, clinics, and private
practices professionally NYC-based and familiar with the Manhattan
/ NYC healthcare landscape Self-starter with strong follow-through
and accountability Hungry, growth-oriented mindset; open to
candidates who may be earlier in their career but highly motivated
Comfortable working as a 1099 contractor Excellent interpersonal,
communication, and organizational skills Experience in addiction
treatment or facility-to-facility referrals is not required and not
the focus of this role. Responsibilities Serve as the primary
community-facing representative for the practice Conduct in-person
outreach to hospitals, medical offices, clinics, and private
practices Build referral relationships that drive consistent
outpatient and IOP admissions Educate referral partners on
services, populations served, and insurance acceptance Support the
launch and promotion of the upcoming IOP program Maintain
consistent outreach activity across NYC and surrounding areas
Collaborate with internal leadership to align growth strategy with
market needs Track outreach efforts and referral activity
informally (structure to evolve as the role grows) Represent the
practice with professionalism, credibility, and integrity Benefits
