Telemetry Tech Location: Astoria, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,632 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 9 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Telemetry Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 9 months Shift: 7PM - 7AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: N/A Certifications: - Dysrhythmia certification required with preferred expiration date and renewal - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: - Experience as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor Tech - MS Office Suite proficiency Description: Provide advanced ECG monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation. Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes. Initiate codes and record rhythms during codes. Perform continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias. Troubleshoot monitoring problems and respond appropriately to all monitor alarms. Perform electrocardiograms in multiple settings, including proper electrode placement. Communicate appropriately and clearly with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians. Enter and verify orders in the computer system. Retrieve laboratory results from the computer system and bring results to the attention of the charge nurse. Ensure documentation meets current standards and organizational policies. Manage and operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.
