Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR)
certification and cardiac MRI experience for a full-time orthopedic
assignment in Manhattan. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a
specialized orthopedic imaging setting serving neonate through
geriatric patients - 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday,
8:00am to 4:00pm, with occasional extended hours to accommodate
inpatient scans - No weekend shifts required - Average of 7 visits
per day with a staffing ratio of 1:2 in a single MRI room - Primary
focus on cardiac MRI exams with both inpatient and outpatient
populations - Utilizes EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for unit
systems; experience with EPIC is preferred - Provider support
includes interpretation services, pharmacy, physical therapy,
radiology, rapid response teams, social services, and
transportation - Experience with Siemens MRI equipment and PACS is
preferred - Responsibilities include performing high-quality MRI
scans, ensuring patient comfort, and collaborating closely with
radiologists and clinical teams - Charcoal gray scrubs are required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position -
Return staff must have a 1 year gap before eligibility to return as
a traveler - No more than 5 days of RTO are allowed, and no time
off within the first 2 weeks of assignment - Free employee garage
parking is available upon badge pickup - Background check policy is
case-by-case - Teaching hospital and EPIC charting experience are
preferred but not required /n /n Requirements/n - Active NYS
Radiologic Technologist License is required for consideration
(license required if applicable) - Current ARRT (MR) and BLS
certifications required - IV certification required at start -
Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience including cardiac
MRI with and without contrast - Proficient in preparation and
administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs -
Preferred skills include experience with a broad range of
musculoskeletal and advanced cardiovascular imaging, as well as
pediatric and adult acute care settings - COVID-19 vaccination is
