WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Livingston, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at a prestigious hospital in Livingston, NJ. Job Function: Day Shift or Evening Shift. 5x8. Maintain a proper sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Count and document sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operations per policy. Prepare patients for surgery as requested. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, and anesthesiologists as needed. Wash, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment using proper techniques. Job Requirements: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association). 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an OR setting. Experience in robotic surgery, ENT, orthopedic, vascular, general thoracic, and neurosurgery preferred.
