Job Description:

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team in Washington Heights. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for assisting with providing and implementing medical care and services for women with a history of chemical dependence.About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire possibility)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm (1-hr unpaid lunches)
• EMR: SigmaCareResponsibilities:
  • Coordinate health services for residential program clients
  • Review medical histories and refer clients to specialists
  • Oversee LPN and CNA staff
  • Conduct medical assessments
  • Manage prescriptions, collaborate with primary care physicians, and monitor client care progress
  • Ensure efficient wellness center operations and medication tracking.
  • Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program
    • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • NYS-approved Infection Control certification
    • Knowledge of Substance / Alcohol Dependence/ Abuse population
    • Experience in one of the following specialty areas, including Family Health, Women's Health, Holistic Care, etc.
    • Training in Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependence specific to the services providedDesired Skills:
      • Bilingual (English and Spanish) - Not Required, but a plus!
