Our team is creative and highly motivated, working to make a positive impact. Join us!Reportsto:VP, DevelopmentSummary/Objective:We are seeking a Director of Corporate Partnerships to join our team. The Director will play a pivotal revenue-generating role within our Development team to achieve high-value partnership goals by driving new corporate partnerships. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, relationship-centric, and a seasoned fundraiser with experience cultivating opportunities and securing high-value partnerships. The right individual will have existing key relationships and networks with corporations and will identify, nurture, and pursue global opportunities.They will proactively secure 6- and 7-figure partnerships through research, prospecting, developing proposals, and sales presentations.The Director will report to the VP, Development. This is a full-time role based in New York City, starting as soon as possible. The role requires working from SmileTrain's NYC headquarters twice weekly, with travel expected at 25% or more.Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage all aspects of the fundraising process for a portfolio of corporate donors to secure, grow, and diversify their giving. This includes building strategies to manage existing relationships, initiating new ones, and re-engaging lapsed partners to foster long-term relationships.
  • Lead new business outreach to develop and expand a pipeline for high-value partnerships, leveraging networks including the Board of Directors, Development Committee, and Philanthropic Advisory Council.
  • Execute all stages of the new business development cycle, including outreach, meeting planning, stakeholder engagement, proposal and presentation development, contract negotiation, and onboarding new partners.
  • Secure and manage cause-related marketing partnerships aligned with SmileTrain's values and goals.
  • Track all portfolio activity in Salesforce, manage structured moves management, and report performance to senior leadership with updates and revenue forecasts.
  • Represent the organization externally, engage in networking to introduce new prospects, and effectively communicate SmileTrain's programs and the challenges faced by cleft patients, their families, and local medical professionals.
  • Act as the internal expert on corporate giving, staying current on trends and understanding corporate interests, consumer trends, and organizational priorities.Supervisory Responsibilities:N/ATravel:Willingness to travel 25% or more.Education and Experience:Our ideal candidate has:
  • 7+ years of successful fundraising experience, especially with US and international corporations.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals, including closing 6- and 7-figure partnerships.
  • Strong understanding and ability to execute all aspects of new business development, including qualification, research, proposal development, solicitation, closing, and stewardship.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently as a self-starter.
  • Experience creating revenue projections and reporting on KPIs and moves management progress.
  • Expertise in creating effective partnership proposals and decks, and communicating alignment of goals.
  • Knowledge of the corporate giving sector, CSR trends, and the evolving landscape of global health.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25%+.Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
    • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Team player with internal stakeholder collaboration skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce or similar database software.
