Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a
high school setting serving students ages 14 to 21. This contract
position is located in Flushing, NY, and offers the chance to work
with a diverse caseload of students with autism, Down syndrome,
cerebral palsy, and other genetic disorders. Many of the students
are non-verbal and rely on augmentative and alternative
communication (AAC) devices to support their communication. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored
to individual student needs - Collaborate with teachers, staff, and
families to create and implement effective communication strategies
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as
necessary - Support use and integration of AAC devices for
non-verbal students - Maintain clear and timely documentation and
comply with school policies and regulations Qualifications: -
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), including CCC
(Certificate of Clinical Competence) - Experience in a school
setting preferred - Knowledge of speech and language disorders
common in school-aged populations - Familiarity with AAC devices
and strategies for non-verbal communication - Strong interpersonal
and communication skills to work collaboratively with
multidisciplinary teams Schedule: - Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM
to 2:00 PM This position provides a rewarding opportunity to impact

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.72 to $66.72.
