Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation services during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events. Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessible learning environments. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents as needed. Maintain professional standards and confidentiality at all times. Travel between school locations as required to fulfill interpretation duties. Qualifications and Experience: Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification preferred. Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational settings is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage travel between assigned locations. Understanding of educational terminology and practices beneficial. Location: Based in Baltimore, MD, with responsibilities that may require travel to various school sites within the area.
