Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing speech-language therapy services across a range of school settings in the Baltimore, MD area, this role supports preschool through middle school students within a K-12 school district. Assignments include itinerant preschool services at community locations, elementary school positions, and middle school coverage. The position requires active Maryland professional licensure and adherence to district credentialing rules, including background checks as per House Bill 486. Candidates will serve a caseload of students from preschool age through grade 8, with opportunities to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As). Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool, elementary (PreK-5), and middle school (6th-8th) students. Provide itinerant therapy services at community preschool locations. Serve at assigned elementary and middle schools on specified days per week. Supervise and collaborate with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants supporting student services. Maintain compliance with all credentialing and district policies, including background checks and employment history verifications. Participate in team meetings and provide timely documentation of evaluations and progress. Qualifications and Experience: Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Experience working with school-age populations, preschool through middle school. Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time (30 hours/week with potential for full-time). Strong organizational and communication skills suited to school settings. Willingness to provide services across multiple school locations and in an itinerant capacity. Supervisory experience or ability to support an SLP-A is highly desirable. Locations and Scheduling: Baltimore metropolitan area, MD. Positions available starting January through March 2026, with contract durations extending through the school year and possible summer (ESY) extension. Full-time Monday-Friday schedules or part-time Monday-Thursday with potential for five-day coverage.
